Pictures, photos and videos of the attractions, excursions and beaches of the popular cruise ship destination Cozumel, Mexico. The main cruise ships that port in Cozumel include Carnival cruise lines, Celebrity Cruises, Costa Cruise, Disney Cruise Line, Holland America, Norwegian cruise lines, Princess Cruise and Royal Caribbean International.

The port of Cozumel is the most visited island in the Western Caribbean with close to 3 million cruise ship passengers visiting each year.

Cozumel is an island on the Caribbean sea located off the eastern coast of the Yucatan Peninsula and 36 miles south of the popular tourist destination Cancun. Cozumel is the third largest island of Mexico extending 30 miles north-south and 10 miles east-west.

Cozumel first inhabitants were believed to be the Maya people with several ruins found on the island. The largest of these ruins were destroyed by clearing an airstrip during World War II. Now the largest remaining ruins are the ruins of San Gervasio and is a popular site to visit by tourists.

Cozumel's Great Maya Barrier Reef is the second largest reef in the world with the Great Barrier Reef in Australia being larger. It is no wonder that Scuba diving is still one of Cozumel's primary attractions, mainly due to the healthy coral reef marine communities. These coral reefs are protected from the open ocean by the island's natural geography.
